Abstract
La cefalea es de los tipos más frecuentes de dolor recurrente y uno de los síntomas más habituales en neurología con una elevada prevalencia y un alto impacto socioeconómico.
Algunos de los estudios que analizaron los tratamientos físicos en la cefalea presentaron limitaciones metodológicas; con lo que la mayoría de estas modalidades no han podido ser debidamente evaluadas existiendo pruebas limitadas sobre su eficacia. Por este motivo, el objetivo de esta investigación es evaluar la eficacia del tratamiento combinado de inhibición de la musculatura suboccipital con corriente interferencial.
Se ha realizado un ensayo clínico controlado y aleatorizado, con 22 pacientes diagnosticados de cefalea tensional crónica; distribuidos en dos grupos (un grupo de tratamiento (n=13) y un grupo de control (n=9)).
