La idea de humanitas en M.T. Cicerón

Abstract

Cicerón ha sido históricamente desplazado por la filosofía académica. La creencia comúnmente aceptada de que los pensadores romanos no fueron sino meros transmisores de tesis griegas desorganizadas está en la base de este olvido. Por ello, el autor intentar mostrar que la filosofía de Cicerón puede reconstruirse formando un cuerpo filosófico coherente. Se propone utilizar la noción genuinamente romana de humanitas, verdadero leiv motive de toda la obra ciceroniana, como piedra de toque de dicha reconstrucción. // Abstract: Cicero has been historically ousted from the academic philosophy. The usually accepted belief in Roman thinkers as if they were nothing but mere transmitters of Greek disorganized theses is responsible of this oblivion. The author tries to show that Cicero’s philosophy could be coherent reconstructed. It is proposed to use the genuine Roman notion of humanitas as the touchstone to perform this reconstruction.
