La simbología del bonsái a través de la Educación Artística

Abstract

El presente artículo explora la conexión entre el arte y la conciencia ecológica a través de la representación del bonsái en la asignatura de Educación Artística. Una introducción de la cultura del bonsái, partiendo de un simbolismo del árbol presente en diversas culturas y su evolución en la historia desde la antigüedad como la mitología hasta alcanzar su vinculación con el activismo ambiental. A nivel pedagógico cobra relevancia el desarrollo de la sensibilidad estética, la concentración y el bienestar emocional en una experiencia educativa universitaria, donde los estudiantes participan de la observación y representación creativa del bonsái. Una conexión reflexiva con su entorno natural y patrimonial desde una metodología sencilla pero eficaz que refuerza la integración del arte con la educación ambiental en el claustro del emblemático edificio de la universidad, promoviendo una enseñanza significativa y holística.

This article explores the connection between art and ecological awareness through the representation of bonsai in the Art Education course. It introduces bonsai culture, starting from the symbolism of the tree present in diverse cultures and its evolution throughout history, from ancient times and mythology to its connection with environmental activism. At the pedagogical level, the development of aesthetic sensitivity, concentration, and emotional wellbeing gains relevance in a university educational experience, where students participate in the observation and creative representation of bonsai. A reflective connection with their natural and heritage environment is achieved through a simple but effective methodology that reinforces the integration of art with environmental education in the faculty of the emblematic university building, promoting meaningful and holistic teaching.
